2012 christmas

during the month of december i try to read a christmas story every night. 

most nights i'm not very successful but i love it when i am :)

we had a family candlelit fondue dinner. tanaya lit the candles

we all put on our smiles

and we enjoyed talking as we ate some amazing meats, veggies, and fruits 

in our fancy cheese fondue sauce. it was a lot of fun

ha! tanaya was such amazing sport as she had her 'christmas story' moment. hahaha. the poor girl. last year all she talked about wanting was one piece pj's with feet.  so this year i thought it would be cute to get my kids matching christmas pj's. ha! ya, it was pretty much a bust. but look how happy caiman is! hahahaha.

here we all are in our christmas pj's. tanaya is soooo happy! ahhhh..i shouldn't laugh :)

christmas morning

yes, as with all previous years, we had to wake tanaya up and tell her santa had come.

and as usually she ran stumbling down the stairs excited to see what he had brought :)

caiman got this play center from granny & grandpa lhotak.  all the toys from the play mat 

attaches to it and he LOVES it. the dragonfly is still his favorite!

after presents we went to grandma & grandpa macfarlane's for our traditional christmas morning breakfast. then we drove around from cousins to cousins house seeing everyone's gifts and spending time with the family.  we ended with dinner and games at alan's.

it was an amazing christmas. we are all so blessed and loved!

2012 christmas card

after all the changes in our family with being pregnant, having a new born, and learning to 

function with no sleep, we thought this pretty much summed up our year :)

caiman 4 months old

all dressed up for christmas!

we're starting to decorate for chirstmas and caiman loves to look at the lights. his great grandma reggie bought him this santa hat which is just too adorable not to put on him.

one day caiman rolled over on his own, then decided that was that and didn't do it again for a couple weeks. eventually he did it again and he hasn't stopped rolling since.

we started having him take his naps in his crib, but he's still sleeping in his bassinet at night. he slept 6 hours straight one night. that was a nice night.

the funniest event this month was when tanaya and bailey changed his diaper. they were unaware he had filled it and tanaya found a messy surprise when she opened it up. caiman started laughing so hard every time tanaya gagged or said 'oh.my.gosh' just like he knew what he had done. it was so bad they ended up putting him in the bathtub. bailey took a video of it and we were all rolling when we watched it.  caimans already messing with his sister! :) 

king christmas party

this year we had the king christmas party at the bountiful lions den.

it was fun spending time with family and skeet shooting.  tanaya's getting to be a pretty good shoot!

                       

inside we played bingo and opened presents.  i LOVE that fire place :)
