tanaya's art booth

tanaya and uncle ryan had their 'first' together.
ryan put on his very first expo 'the upside down christams tree gift expo' and gave tanaya
a free booth to put on her very first art show.
they were both SO excited!
stockton, cabe, and braelyn, helped tanaya put her paintings on display & set everything up

it's perfect! she's already to sell.
everyone helped uncle ryan set up his expo too.
here they are bringing in the huge christmas tree, decorating it, and the boys maned the snack booth all day

tanaya worked hard to get ready for her show.
she spent hours panting and planning. she named most of her art after her friends
here is her gallery:

she sold her first painting!!!
she was SO excited and asked the lady if she could take her picture to commemorate her first sale :)
during the three day event she sold four paintings!
tanaya was so professional and we were so proud of her.  she woke up early, dressed nice, and worked long hours showing off her work. she did amazing and it paid off - her show was a huge success!

thanksgiving

well, i guess i forgot to take pictures of our day because these are the only shots i have :)

we started of the day with john and tanaya playing in the neighborhood football game. they survived without any broken bones but john collided heads and was left a bit loopy with a good goose egg on his head.
good times

then we went over to grandma's and papa's for dinner and dessert. its always fun sitting around the table saying what were thankful for - a tradition we're all thankful tanaya started years ago.

trans siberian orchrastra

(this is John writing again)
So we all know Tanaya is turning into a wonderful violinist.  Well her hair dresser recommend going to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra to see the electric violinist.  Neither of us had ever seen them and didn't know what to except.  It turned out to be an amazing show with lots of special effects.  It was fun to take her and I can't wait to take her to another concert.

Walking up to the show at the Jazz stadium.

Getting ready for the show to begin.  2nd row off the floor.  The stage looks so dark....
and then goes into a crazy light show for the concert.  Amazing.  Tanaya was loving it.

The electric violinist is on the right.
It was an amazing show and a super fun night with Tanaya.

nay-ma night

tanaya and i took a cooking class.
it wasn't what either of us thought it would be but we made it through it
tanaya thought there would be kids her age there and i thought we would have some amazing desserts to make for thanksgiving

they look delicious, but i wouldn't recommend eating them.
the chief was delusional and his recipes were nasty. at least we learned how to make food look pretty! :)

diaper donation

tanaya organized a service project and collected diapers & wipes for the bountiful food pantry and the road home homeless shelter in salt lake city

at the food pantry they received a tour of the freezer and the warehouse where the food is stored

at the road home dropping off much needed diapers and wipes.
tanaya heard about a family that was using a spray bottle full of water and a towel because they couldn't afford wipes. hopefully this helps them out. it was a good, heart warming, day.
