tanaya studied for long hours on end this term and it paid off; she made the honor roll...for the 6th time in a row! whoot woo! she's excited its her turn for the 'blizzard land' pick and she's thinking about going horseback riding. tanaya your AAAmazing! :)

Our Southern Bell

CONGRATS TANAYA!!!! she tried out for a play at the bountiful theater and got a LEAD part!!! this summer she will be in the play 'gone with the breeze', a hollywood version of 'gone with the wind', and she will be playing Daisy Lou - a southern girl who loves all the boys. when tanaya was born we made announcement cards that read 'our southern bell'...and 14 years later she's playing one. its a hilarious part that is perfect for her...although she will have to truly act as she has no interest in boys ;) right tanaya? WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!

One COOL Kid!

Tanaya is one cool kid! We know it. You know it. And now the whole school knows it. She was recognized in front of her whole school at the school assembly this week by her principle and teachers for going the extra mile. She recognized a girl in her school was having a problem and then took the time to make sure she was going to be okay, without embarrassing her or causing a scene. Her friends thought this was so cool they hoot and hollered for her as she made her way up on stage. She was given a certificate for a free meal at Cafe Rio and we enjoyed a proud moment with her as we made our way through the line. We are SO proud of her!

SAR yurt trip

John went on a over night Yurt Trip with some of the guys from Search and Rescue up in 

Bloomington Canyon, ID

new years 2012 - redmond, oregon

brooke and marcus moved from Mississippi to Redmond, Oregon a few months ago, so we planned a little trip to spend new years with them.  braydon came along with us and it was fun cousin time.

spent new years eve at a bowling alley.  we played a little pool,

played some arcade games, and of course, we bowled.

at the stroke of midnight we partied!

and we kissed!

 then we partied some more! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

   

on our way back home we did some sight seeing. first we drove a little further into Oregon and stopped in Sisters for some lunch and yummy pastries.

 then we were off to see Suttle Lake which was feezing over.  it was cold but beautiful!

finally it was time to head for home.  on our way to salt lake we stopped at Smith Rocks to stretch our legs and do a beautiful hike.

we made it back to our car just as the sun was setting. so pretty.

my newly pregnant body couldn't make the drive straight home so we stopped in Ontario, Or to spend the night in a comfy hotel bed.  my husband loves me :)  the next morning we finished our drive home.
